Novak Djokovic : Australian Open Champion once again

Here's my man...He has done it again...


He has won Australian Open for 4 times now and he's the only player in the open era to do a hat trick of winning it 3 times in a row. Total grand slam count stands at 6 now. He's due to win many more.

He had great chances last year also like in 2011. But, just fell at the last moments. Hopefully, he'll complete his Career Slam by winning Rolland Garros this year. Last year, he played his first final there & was very close to winning it.

Now, if Federer is to Wimbeldon and Nadal is to French Open ....
Then certainly Novak is to Australian Open .


Should we consider change "Australian Open" caption to "The Grand Slam of Novak Djokovic" ?

Maharashtra's Religious & Historic tour to Shirdi and Ellora Caves spread over 2 days. We(roomies) always wanted to go for a long trip on our Zen for quite some time. :) Sometimes we planned for Nanded, sometimes "The Great Konkan Beach" circuit but nothing was happening till yet. Finally, the plan to Shirdi was executed with Ajay, Navdeep(baba) and Sid G. :) Plan : Day 1 Start Early, Drive from Pune to Shirdi, Darshan and proceed to Ellora. Spend night at a hotel/lodge near the caves. Day 2: Morning darshan at Grishneshwar Temple, Verul. Visit Ellora Caves, end by 2pm. Proceed to Aurangabad for "Bibi ka maqbara" and Panchaki. On the way back, visit "Shani Shignapur". Drive back to Pune by 9pm. We mostly did "stick" to the plan. The call of a place (Veer Dam)

"Don't come closer or I'll have to go.. Holding me like gravity are places that pull!" ~ Into the Wild I read about many people telling how a place attracts them to visit it and it was my turn to experience the same. Its one hell lot of feeling that can make you do anything. You don't think, you just go for it. The place was the Nira right canal at Veer Dam near Pune. Water has always fascinated me. One day I dream of swimming in rivers, lakes and sea. But you need to respect water a lot. It so silent yet so powerful when in action. I was introduced to this place by Yogesh, on our relaxed tour to Bamnoli . I loved the place. I never knew I would run down to it to settle the fire in my heart. Just to catch a glimpse would be enough. It was a Saturday evening, I woke up at 4 pm :O. Friday night, I was looking forward to go to nearby Dive ghat for a cup of tea with a b'ful view of Hadapsar, Pune. Then, changed mood to go to Saswad just to eat

Back into time ( at least a try ) -- Part 1 (of 3)

Enough days at office and a breath of fresh air was much needed by our lungs. If you don't get that on time, you forget to live and become a machine(or a slave). So, here we are. This trip starts like most of them do..on weekend. And pity my planning(&thinking), I try to maximize use of resources(time here)  like starting on a Friday evening to an early morning Monday trip. You know to MAXIMIZE time-off. Hypocrisy!  The whole point is to get lost out there. No need to cover everything, just take a deep breath and relax. To sights like these : Well, now that we have the idea, let me narrate the journey. Partners in Crime : Yogesh ( trekogiri.blogspot.in ) We decided to take the most relaxed route from Magarpatta(Pune) to Bamnoli. You may take a full day to reach. The point is to enjoy the journey and not just touch-and-come place. We didn't want NH4 traffic so decided to go via Saswad-Veer Dam-Kaas-Bamnoli route, you know more of a landsc
